*. 1998.
Take five
Hungarian photographers debuting in New York.
The exhibition is the first episode of a series consisting of three parts, which aims to introduce different tendencies in Hungarian contemporary photography in New York, in the building of the Consulate of the Hungarian Republic. The first will present works by representatives of the progressive art of photography, the second will be dealing with documentarism, and the last is going to take samples of creative, experimental photography. It is the first attempt since 1945 to transmit the tendencies of Hungarian contemporary photography, through a sensible programme, which will take several years in the “City of Modern Arts”.
