Among the actual exhibitions on show the Hungarian Museum of Photography would like to provide possibility to exhibition-visitors „to take home a little piece of photo-museum”.

The Museum has been operating for 13 years. A representative album has been published from the most outstanding items collected among the one million photos and several photography-history objects also having of unique value. This way we can achieve to present a special kind of historical cross-section of Hungarian photography.

Collection of the Museum gives a throughout spectrum of Hungarian photography either from technical- or style aspects. Wide scale of works can be found in this album: the earliest photo works, dagger types, salty-paper photos, works of the most important studio-photographers from the 19th century, pictorial photography-style of the 19th and 20th century, photos taken in Hungary by world-famous artists in the 20th century, the most known Hungarian photographers like André Kertész, László Moholy- Nagy, Márton Munkácsi and of course distinct figures of contemporary photography.

This volume can be considered as a special kind of photography-history including 150 photos with comments and biographies in three languages.
