György Lőrinczy: The photographic works

György Lőrinczy (1935–1981) was the most significant artist and theoretician of Hungarian avant-garde photography in the sixties and seventies. Besides of 100 photographs of him the book includes a portrayal written by his widow, Kati Lőrinczy, which contains a precise description of Lőrinczy's intellectual development. The essay of György Szegő, an aesthete, comprises a philosophical approach to the photos. It is completed with a detailed biography and bibliography. The book has been published on the occasion of the retrospective exhibition of György Lőrinczy's work.
